Tell us a bit about how My Fashion Life started
I started My Fashion Life in 2003 as a hobby, after a friend introduced me to the concept of blogging and by 2005 it took on a life of it’s own.
You’ve interviewed many fashion designers, editors and stylists, but who, outside of fashion, would you most like to feature?
I would love to feature Prince! Love him! Plus he has great style….
My Fashion Life caters for men too with MFL for Him. Who is Britain’s
most stylish man?
Hmmm, that’s a tough one. I’d say probably Robbie Williams goes quite unnoticed but as much as I hate to admit it David Beckham is pretty stylish too. But…I’m going to say Jude Law.
What’s the best thing about running My Fashion Life as your own business?
The freedom. I find that I’m probably working longer hours, but I love the fact that ultimately I can work from anywhere.
What percentage of your fashion and beauty purchases are online?
About 30%…that’s quite bad isn’t it? I can be quite an impulsive buyer, so often if I’m out to a meeting, I’ll pop into a store and pick something up.
What three items from Oli.co.uk are you coveting this month and why?
French Connection Heart Bag. It’s got studs and it’s a clutch – both my obsessions all rolled into one!
KG Studded Strap Sandals. I know studs again…but I adore these shoes. They’re perfect with jeans.
Lipsy Stud Bandeau Dress. Yep, studs one more time. How can you not love this dress? It’s simple yet edgy and very reasonably priced.
Which brand would you most like to see on Oli.co.uk and why?
Matthew Williamson – he’s my favourite designer.
